CGI Advance Tactical Carbine Operator Course (ADTCOC):

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course:

1. Military, police or other armed security professionals.
2. Due to the extensive nature of the training during this course, a photo ID will be required from all persons registering. CGI reserves the right to require any trainee to provide a police back ground check. Any persons with possible affiliation to a terrorist and or criminal organization need not apply. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or have been convicted of domestic violence crimes (misdemeanor or felony) need not apply.
3. Completion of the CGI Tactical Carbine Operator Course is recommended prior to attending this course.

To increase the candidates understanding of their balance between speed and accuracy, efficiency in weapons handling, understanding of the body’s natural reactions to a fight and competency with the weapon system. These goals will be achieved through the use of reality based training methods and unique shooting drills. Completion of the CGI Tactical Carbine Handling Course is recommended prior to attending this course.


The scope of training will include both theory and practical range lessons on the following subjects:
• Safety, Comfort, Competency;
• Grip;
• Stance;
• BZO / Sighting In;
• The Balance of Speed and Accuracy;
• Magazine Changes and Malfunctions;
• Barricades / Use of Cover and Concealment;
• Transitioning to the Handgun;
• Volume of Fire;
• Multiple Targets;
• Strong and Weak Hand Operation;
• Standard and Unorthodox Shooting Positions;
• Shooting on the Move;
• Live fire scenarios/ Closing remarks & Certificates/Group Photo.

Candidate-Provided Recommended Equipment:

Pistol, holster, belt, three pistol magazines, pistol magazine holders, carbine, sling, four carbine magazines, carbine magazine holders, water bottle or hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, Notebook, pen and pencil. (No camouflaged clothing please, unless it is your uniform.)

Ammunition Requirements:
500 rounds of pistol ammunition and 1,500 rounds of carbine ammunition.


Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a CGI certification. Graduates will receive a report style feed back and certificate of qualification.

Candidates are assessed through out the course. Debriefs will be conducted with the student to highlight areas of weakness and tools to increase competency.
