CGI Tactical Pistol & Carbine Operators Course (TPC0C):

Course Duration:
3 Day

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course:

1. Military, police or other armed security professionals.
2. Due to the extensive nature of the training during this course, a photo ID will be required from all persons registering. CGI reserves the right to require any trainee to provide a police back ground check. Any persons with possible affiliation to a terrorist and or criminal organization need not apply. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or have been convicted of domestic violence crimes (misdemeanor or felony) need not apply.
3. Completion of a CGI Tactical Pistol or Carbine Handling Course is recommended prior to attending this course.

TPC0C AIM:

This intense three-day advanced course will focus on the candidate's ability to use their pistol and carbine as efficiently and consistently as possible under realistic / adverse conditions. The course will cover application of tactical pistol and tactical carbine shooting techniques and transition drills in multiple environments. A variety of drills and scenarios will be used to force the candidates to confront problems that occur during tactical weapons handling and to reinforce good habits.

SCOPE OF TRAINING:

The scope of training will include both theory and practical range lessons on the following subjects:
• Safety, Comfort and Competency;
• Recognition;
• Specialty Drills /The balance of speed and accuracy;
• Critical incident reloads;
• Non Diagnostic Malfunction drills;
• 360 degree presentation from the holster;
• Shooting in Motion;
• Reinforcement Drills;
• Strong and support handed shooting;
• Strong and support handed malfunctions;
• Shooting Positions;
• Unorthodox shooting positions;
• Transition drills;
• Magazine changes (emergency & tactical);
• Engaging multiple targets;
• Deal with emergencies and incidents /Attack on personnel;
• Live fire scenarios/ Closing remarks & Certificates/Group Photo.

Round Count:
1,600 rounds

Candidate-Provided Recommended Equipment:

Pistol, holster, belt, three pistol magazines, pistol magazine holders, carbine, sling, four carbine magazines, carbine magazine holders, water bottle or hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, Notebook, pen and pencil. (No camouflaged clothing please, unless it is your uniform.)

Ammunition Requirements:
600 rounds of pistol ammunition, 1000 rounds of carbine ammunition.

CERTIFICATION:

Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a CGI certification. Graduates will receive a report style feed back and certificate of qualification.

Testing:
Candidates are assessed through out the course. Debriefs will be conducted with the student to highlight areas of weakness and tools to increase competency.
