CGI Fundamentals of Vehicle Gun Fighting (FVGFC):

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course:

1. Military, police or other armed security professionals.
2. Due to the extensive nature of the training during this course, a photo ID will be required from all persons registering. CGI reserves the right to require any trainee to provide a police back ground check. Any persons with possible affiliation to a terrorist and or criminal organization need not apply. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or have been convicted of domestic violence crimes (misdemeanor or felony) need not apply.
3. Completion of the CGI Tactical Pistol Handling Course is recommended prior to attending this course.

This intense one-day course will focus on the student's ability to use their pistol as efficiently and consistently as possible under realistic / adverse conditions. A variety of drills and scenarios will be used to force the student to confront problems that occur during administrative weapons handling and to reinforce good habits.
All Law Enforcement Officers, Military Personnel and Private Security Operators should understand the use of their vehicle as cover and concealment and experience first hand what happens when bullets strike vehicles. In addition, it is imperative that we experience Shooting from the vehicle prior to an actual engagement so that we may discover the most efficient method to deploy our weapon system prior experiencing a dynamic threat. Completion of the CGI tactical pistol handling courses is recommended prior to attending this course.


The scope of training for the FVGFC-001 will include both theory and practical range lessons on the following subjects:
• Safety, Comfort and Competency;
• Recognition;
• Non Diagnostic Malfunction drills;
• Seated shooting;
• The effects of rounds on the vehicle and its occupant’s;
• Use of vehicles as cover/ concealment;
• Shooting positions when seeking cover;
• Shooting from the vehicle;
• Vehicles glass and deviation;
• Shooting into the vehicle;
• Ground deflection;
• Hood deflection;
• Multiple Shooting Drills;
• Live fire scenarios/ Closing remarks & Certificates/Group Photo.

Candidate-Provided Recommended Equipment:

Pistol, holster, belt, three pistol magazines, pistol magazine holders, water bottle or hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, Notebook, pen and pencil. (No camouflaged clothing please, unless it is your uniform.)

Ammunition Requirements:
700 rounds of pistol ammunition.


Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a CGI certification. Graduates will receive a report style feed back and certificate of qualification.

Candidates are assessed through out the course. Debriefs will be conducted with the student to highlight areas of weakness and tools to increase competency.
