CGI Advanced Tactical Pistol Skill Building courses (ATPSBC):

Course Duration:
1 Day

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course:

1. Military, police or other armed security professionals.
2. Due to the extensive nature of the training during this course, a photo ID will be required from all persons registering. CGI reserves the right to require any trainee to provide a police back ground check. Any persons with possible affiliation to a terrorist and or criminal organization need not apply. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or have been convicted of domestic violence crimes (misdemeanor or felony) need not apply.
3. Completion of the CGI Tactical Pistol or Carbine Handling Course is recommended prior to attending this course.

ATPSBC AIM:

This is an intense four day course is designed to raise the candidates weapons handling skills to the level that may be required in a fight. Reality based drills will be employed to teach new skills and refine existing ones. The ATPSBC has been completely customized to bring each candidate from basic to advanced level of shooting. This course will be an excellent foundation for students who wish to pursue a career in the close protection field.
Many more topics will be covered than are listed here. This is a dynamic training course is designed to teach candidates techniques that will help them prevail in a fight for their lives or the lives of others. Candidates will shoot many unique reality based drills designed specifically to teach and reinforce the principles of tactical shooting.

SCOPE OF TRAINING:

The scope of training will include both theory and practical range lessons on the following subjects:
• Review of weapons safety, marksmanship theory and characteristics;
• Safety, Comfort and Competency;
• Shooting in Motion;
• Strong and support handed Shooting;
• Strong and support handed Weapons Manipulation;
• Unorthodox Shooting Positions;
• Shooting on the Move vs. Static;
• Close Quarter Shooting;
• Distance Shooting;
• Live fire scenarios/ Closing remarks & Certificates;
• Group Photo.

$30.00 Pistol

Round Count:
800 rounds

Candidate-Provided Recommended Equipment:

Pistol, holster, belt, three pistol magazines, pistol magazine holders, water bottle or hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, Notebook, pen and pencil. (No camouflaged clothing please, unless it is your uniform.)

Ammunition Requirements: 800 rounds of pistol ammunition.

CERTIFICATION:

Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a CGI certification. Graduates will receive a report style feed back and certificate of qualification.

Testing:
Candidates are assessed through out the course. Debriefs will be conducted with the student to highlight areas of weakness and tools to increase competency.
